Adox XT-3 (Xtol) B&W Film Developer

Another lovely new product from our friends at ADOX

Essentially this is Xtol, the legendary developer from Kodak:  Like BelliniFoto Eco-Film the developing times and resulting curves are identical with XTOL (produced prior to 2019 and sold in aluminum compound bags.) so you can be assured of great results.

There are a couple of welcome tweaks over the original that ADOX have introduced, the dissolving speed has been reduced to only 2-3 minutes and theire CAPTURA dust binding technology lets you mix this powder chemical without inhaling chemical dust.

So overall it’s a well balanced film developer based on ascorbic acid yielding full box speed negatives with high sharpness and very fine grain. Hydroquinone-free and without boric acid yet with improved storage capacities compared to earlier ascorbic-acid developers.

Available in 1000ml and 5000ml packs, XT-3 also carries certain advantages over similar working recipes like Xtol, Excel or LegacyPro Eco:

However, as with many Isoascorbat based developer you need to check for substances falling out or a darkening of the solution. If any of the above occurs do not use this developer any longer.
