Ilford FP4+ 125asa B&W 35mm Film offers very fine grain, outstanding sharpness and high acutance make it the film of choice whenever a job demands great enlargement or the subject contains a wealth of fine detail.
Nominally rated at 125asa this film has genuinely become the benchmark against which other medium speed films are judged.
With enormous latitude for exposure error above and below it is is very suitable for most photographic subjects under a variety of lighting conditions.
Can be pushed/pulled from 25 to 1600asa and makes a lovely slide film when processed in reversal chemistry…
A film that you can’t go wrong with, so dependable, so good it’s not hard to understand it’s longevity.
Nik & Trick Tip: Our own results with PMK Pyro have been stunning!

What can you say about this film that hasn’t already been said – well for a start it is really lovely in Bellini Gradual ST-20 for 5′ @20C at box speed but of course many other developers as well if pushing it eg Ilford Microphen or Bellini Hydrofen. In fact this film can be developed in just about any developer and give good results – you can even make it grainy in Rodinal! It is a film which others are compared to which must be the ultimate compliment and is versatile enough to not worry about exposure too much as it has great latitude, I like it at 250 ISO for example.
