Rollei RPX25 5×4 Sheet Film is a low-speed panchromatic black and white film with a nominal sensitivity of ISO 25/15° giving this lovely film extraordinarily fine grain, great resolving power and very high acutance.
When shot in this format RPX25 will be pretty much nigh on impossible to beat for sheer detail!
Rollei RPX25 is characterised by a high sensitivity reserve of one f-stops, depending upon development.
The thin, silver-rich emulsion is coated onto a crystal-clear base and offers an excellent balance between image quality (sharpness/fine grain) and speed yield.

I found this film to be a little more difficult to load as it’s coated onto a rather thin base for which I shall drop it a star but once you overcome that you’re in for a real treat!
Superfine detail that is so crisp and so sharp it reminds you of just how remarkale large format can be…it’s extreme to say the least. Contrast and tonal range is in the upper end of the contrast scale bbut edge detail and sharpness is unparalelled by anything I’ve shot so far.
Will I buy again? For sure I will.
