Replacing Eastman Kodak’s fantatically loved SO-331

This lush 50asa film was not originally intended for photographic
purposes! – It produces incredibly high contrast negs with a good range of mid-tone detail and amazing sharpness. Naturally it is near grain free!

Shoot as 50asa and stand develop in Rodinal for 45 minutes for lovely results we also love it when shot at 12asa and developed for 5mins @ 21c in Bellini D96 (see gallery)

Spooled from our own stock in to cans of around 25 exposures

I tried this with an orange filter and it gave really punchy sky/clouds. Might not suit all applications but I love it for landscapes.

Works well in caffenol cl 45′ – https://www.flickr.com/photos/steveandthedogs/29089059893/in/dateposted-public/

    Definitely needs contrasty subjects.

    Will happily use again

Really lovely film, used for some close up flower shots results were great. Not suited to everything but nice to use every now and then
