BelliniFoto EURO HC (110) was formulated in 2021 at our request to fill the void left by the absence at that time, of the Kodak version.
So, once again it’s been Bellini to the rescue and this formulation could well be better than the new Kodak version…yes, that has changed, now that the much loved HC-110 syrup is now gone.
If you’ve missed that lovely developer, or hadn’t used it due the massive volume you had to buy and look after here’s our all new HC-110 substitute.
What’s the difference?
Not a lot: Use EURO HC just as you would with Kodak’s version….Dilution B being the recommended choice. Easy, but if anything this product is actually better, offering better acutance than the others.
Like the new Kodak HC, this version is thinner so you can use a syringe to measure it more accurately and we have made the addition of one an option when you purchase 🙂
We have found that Euro HC has done away with one of the few flaws of HC-110 in that it produces much sharper negatives, having higher acutance.
Much has been done also to this formula to prevent oxidisation, that we can confirm from our own experience, this is clean and should last longer than any other HC variant.
Best thing is that you can now access this wonderful developer without having to buy an amount that a professional photo lab would use!
We are offering this in much more sensible 500ml and 250ml quantities with the option of adding a measuring syringe and blunt needle for most accurate measurement when making the working solution.

Richard and Nikki, gave me the opportunity to be a beta tester for this developer as I had been a long time user of HC-110 from kodak. We tried this new formula from Bellini, with various films and various dilution levels and it was really very good indeed – in fact, indiscernible from the Kodak product that I love so much. Recommend you give it a try

Much like the review from Chris, I also tested this out.
I found it to produce exactly the same results as HC-110, something I wasn’t expecting as normally you do see differences from off brand products.
A great alternative to the Kodak original.
Some slight differences to hc-110 with dilutions need to be observed but this is a minor thing. The results are spot on

You can’t go wrong with this developer. I use it to develop vintage glass plates . Start with 6 min development using 1 to 31 mix .
Stephen Byard –
It’s played nicely with every film I’ve tried – both 120 and sheet films such as FP4, HP5, ADOX 100, Rollei RPX400 and Infrared to name a few. I mostly used dilution B.

HC-110 is consistently recommended for a economical, all round developer.
Very happy with this version; as a beginner, the results seem consistent and following Massive Dev Chart for the 1+31 HC formula has got good results in various films such as HP5, FP4 and Fomapan.
Will buy again. Top work from Nik and Trick also.

I used Bellini Euro HC for the first time after finishing my original HC110 syrup and wanting to check out the alternatives. It does exactly what it was formulated for. I have developed a few rolls of HP5 with Bellini Euro HC diluted at 1+31 and it performed exactly as my beloved HC110 dilution B. This product in a 500ml bottle is exactly what I needed. Cheers!

Amazingly easy to mix with water, a quick stir with my thermometer and it was ready. Gave great results with Fomapan 400 shot at 200ASA, developed for 6 minutes at 1+31, dilution B. (Massive Development chart says 6 mins for F400 shot at 320ASA).
