Released in 2017 by Bergger and now covering a variety of formats from 35mm through 120 to sheet films up to 10×8 it’s become a very popular film with a following all of it’s own.
We were shown results of this films at Photokina prior to it’s release and immediately fell in love with the results we saw….it’s a fast black and white film with classic grain.
One of our best sellers; BelliniFoto Hydrofen in particular produces beautiful results from Pancro 400 in all formats, our PMK Pyro is also highly recommended, we would expect something special also from our Pyrocat-HD as this film can be rather particular suiting a certain type of developer.
So, with a nominal sensitivity of 400asa it produces very good results from 160 to 1600asa and thus, it’s possible to vary its grain depending on the developer used. from very fine to very drawn, but having two emulsion layers composed with silver bromide and silver iodide, the two emulsions are panchromatic, and are stabilized by high tech systems, it is often preferred by those seeking finer arty results.
Development times with our recommendations:
- BelliniFoto Hydrofen ~ 1+39 at 20c for 6’00 mins
- PMK Pyro ~ 1+2+100 at 20c for 18 mins
- Pyrocat-HD ~ 1+1+100 at 20c for 20 mins
