Freshly sourced from the motion picture industry it is spooled on site by our own fair hands ready for you to enjoy as one of the nicest black and white stills films there ever was.
Eastman Kodak 5222 Double X is a classic cinematic film much favoured by stills photographers in the US for decades, we have sourced factory fresh stock so this film has been available from Nik & Trick longer than from any other vendor in the UK…we ONLY use freshest stocks of this wonderful film, no outdated offcuts here!!
Makes 6 to 6400asa but expect best results at the native 250asa although we have tested this to 3200asa with no visible affects to it’s lovely full tonality.
Double-X is easy to develop at home, just like any other black and white film.
There is no remjet on this (an FAQ) it will develop in just about any b&w developer, plus we stock Eastman Kodak recommended chemistry, D96 and Fix F5 should you want that authentic motion picture look.
Of course you can send it to use for professional processing should you so desire by using here FORM!

I Just love XX and with the Nick and Trick wound version you can guarantee the quality of the product.

What can you say about Double-X that isn’t complimentary?
A super film, processed wonderfully in Bellini Eco-Film, I rated it at 400asa and the tones, the grain and the complete feel of this film is just fantastic.
Will I be using this again?
Silly question! This will be one of my go to films from now on

A versatile Eastman motion picture emulsion which is also great for still photography. Rate it @ iso 250~iso320 depending on the scene, in daylight. More suited to street and documentary photography than landscape. It can be processed at home with a variety of readily available developers. I have developed it with Bellini D96, and also the Bellini’s copy of the HC110 @ 1+63 for 12 minutes . Avoid harsh lighting conditions.

Beautiful all the time. Works like gold in the NT Colin developer and can be pushed all the way to iso 3200 in ST-20 developer.
