Hasselblad Replacement Light Seal Kit for A12 and C12 film backs.
This one removes the worry of getting the wrong materials and the wrong dimensions of them…comes complete with instructions but there are YouTube videos that show how to do this and we have added a link below too!
A nice easy job to cure the issue that has ruined so many films for so many of us.

I used this kit on an earlier generation A12 back that showed typical signs of light leak. I consulted YouTube as well as the received instructions, was a bit nervous doing this the first time.
The job took about 30-40 minutes, but would be much quicker next time. Light seal works perfectly, and I’ve learned you shouldn’t insert the dark slide except when a loaded magazine is off the camera.
Recommended, and would/will buy this again when I next see light leaks. If I were more organised I’d change the light seal in each magazine every year.

Great kit, works on Kiev 88/ Salyut S too. Just developed my first roll after replacing the seal, works perfectly.

These kits have saved me a fortune in wasted film!
When buying a “new” back for your Hasselblad I would recommend changing the light seals before shooting. The one and only time I did not do this and I wasted 6 rolls… At £10 a roll by comparison to £15 for this.
Fitting is so simple, takes around 15 mins maximum, though I am quite handy so it may take the inexperienced handy person a little longer.
