Ilford HP5+ 400asa Half Plate Sheet Film is a high speed, medium contrast film making it especially suitable for studio, portrait and even action and press photography, an excellent choice for general purpose photography.
Nominally rated at ISO 400, it yields negatives of outstanding sharpness and fine grain under all lighting conditions.
HP5 PLUS has been formulated to respond well to push processing and film speeds up to EI 3200/36 are achievable with a bariety of developers maintaining good shadow detail and well separated mid-tones with sharp grain.
We have attained great results with Bellini Hydrofen and it also works really well in the black and white reversal kit however, with this emulsion nothing but nothing beats Ornano Nucleol BF200 in our opinion 😉

Nominally rated at ISO 400, it yields negatives of outstanding sharpness and fine grain under all lighting conditions.
HP5 PLUS has been formulated to respond well to push processing and film speeds up to EI 3200/36 are achievable with the appropriate pushing developer though it produces lovely results through a whole range.
A film that is happy in most modern developers, we find it comes alive in Microphen and Nucleol BF200 when pushed, and it loves Euro-HC and Hydrofen by BellinoFoto.
Scans well and of course, is very happy being printed
