Before we get stuck in let’s just inform that an internet search shows that Grays the Nikon specialist in London sold these in similar condition for £1100.
These are just the same as any other F3 but are sought after by collectors because, on the rear of the camera to the right hand side of the finder eyepiece there is a red letter ‘D’ for Demo preceding the serial number. Not many of them around like this, they were I believe given to selected dealers in Japan only when the model was still current.
Our example is in lovely condition, a few age related almost imperceptable marks but other than that, just gorgeous!
New light seals had been fitted but not all that well so we’ve replaced those just to be sure and added new silver oxides to check operation and a new rubber eypiece as the cherry on the cake!
