ECN2 Process for 35mm Motion Picture Films is, it’s fair to say a service that Nik & Trick really pioneered in terms of the day to day viability of using these lovely films in the stills environment.
Top of the line service that includes specialist developing using proper chemistry by BelliniFoto then high quality scanning and photographs printed by our wonderful Fuji Dry-Lab…
So we had to perfect our processing service to suit of course and now we offer this specialist service, fine tuned to the films we supply using proper chemistry made for us by our good friends at BelliniFoto.
Prices shown are of course per film and our Order From come Price List can be downloaded HERE!

- There will be no pushing nor pulling of films speeds, there is enough latitude in the Vision films without.
- Remember, we are using these films stocks in this way is not the way they are designed to be used therefore, even with our skills and yours, allow a small margin for flaws such as the rare occasion where a tiny remnant of remjet may be present. Though we do get these really REALLY clean in the hand part of the procedure 😉
This is the best processing available for the following films: Kodak Vision3 500T, 250D, 50D, 200T and the Fuji Eterna films that we offer.
- Due to the need for some hands-on work during processing, turnaround times will be longer than for other colour films
Scans are made to using our Noritsu HS-1800….the pinnacle of laboratory film scanning equipment which will provide you with Jpg files that are compressed at approximately 2.0 megabytes…to get the full fat files you will need to open them up in photo editing software such as Photoshop, Lightroom or Hasselblad Phocus (it’s free!) etc and the files will expand to their fullest 18 megabytes…..that is a big file for such a standard level service!
The 16bit Tiff files from this marvellous scanner for our basic service level are not compressed, they come in at a pretty huge 32 megabytes approximately….that’s a great result for a great price.
We also offer even bigger scans should you want them, you will find that product listed too!
If you’re a bit of a geek or just love to know how things work then you can read more about that and scanning details and resolutions on our little blog HERE….when there you can also find out how to carry out some basic optimisation your files
Please be aware that the postage charged at checkout is to cover the return post for your negatives…negatives are precious look after them!
Scans will be delivered via WeTransfer or Dropbox, so you’ll have those before your negs arrive but if you should like them on a disk or prefer would like to upgrade to archival glassine pages instead of the plastic sleeving please click HERE and add those options to your basket 🙂
