BelliniFoto Monopart 1lt C41 Kit….the best in the world! Easy to mix, incredibly easy to use; if you can do b&w then you can do this! It is quick too…it takes less than 14 minutes from pouring in the developer to hanging to dry!
It produces beautifully rich results with stunning colour and contrast, and with the instructions followed properly you will find that it also yields the cleanest negatives.
This kit should develop up to 14 films (although customers are reporting many more which supports our view that Mr Bellini is conservative with his descriptions!) Overall this is a great value product that we are proud to be able to bring to the UK market.
Q&A
Q: How many films will this kit cover?
A: Officially…oh never mind that, usually a safe bet is 16 but customers report an average is 20 but we have seen more! Mr Bellini himself will tell you to keep going until you see a drop in quality…your working to depletion.
Q: And that’s it?
A: Nope! The bleach & fix have twice the capacity of the developer, hence it’s called “Monopart” so, we offer the developer separately to save you money by getting the most out of all the chemicals…which is greener too!
Q: There are no washes shown in the instructions is that right??
A: Very right!! Keep water away from this process. ps The only issues ever found have been when people overrule and err away from the instructions!
Q: Oh it’s going a problem keeping a stable temperature during development.
A: No it’s not! Stand everything in a bowl of water at 38c then once everything is tempered (at the same 38c) you only need to keep that temperature for a max of four minutes for the developer….after that acouple of degrees temperature drop is literally insignificant.
Q: It says prewash the films but you say no water.
A: It doesn’t say prewash the films, it says to do the above! That’s right, stand your tank with the loaded film in alongside the chemicals so everything start at the same temperature 🙂
Q: Stabliser….
A: Two ways of doing this….make up loads in a big can so that contaminants sink deep or use make up three baths, 1, 2 and 3 and do three washes in order so that 3 is the cleanest of the clean! Yes, it’s okay to squeegee, C41 films are quite tough but warm the squeegee and ensure it’s extra clean.
Q: Should I wash after stabilsing?
A: NO NO NO! Don’t do that!!! You’ll get streaks and spots!
Q: My water conditions are terrible and I have all sorts of problems developing film….
A: It’s one of the things that affects longevity of course but don’t fret! The chemicals like particulates in the water to cling onto when making up, so using distilled water etc isn’t necessary. High limescale waters can cause negs to be less than immaculate when dry so if that is an issue try using Ornano Imbibente after stabilising, amazing product that has saved so many films of all types in such conditions 🙂
Q: I’m really scared about doing this, YouTubers tell me it’s so difficult….
A: Ignore them! This is really really easy, easier than b&w perhaps…push the words of worry warts aside and get stuck in, in fact, to show you how easy it is we developed a film with this kit, in a field in a wok. See the video below!

I’d never developed my own film before and after some research I decided to give this kit a go. It’s really simple to use and so long as you follow the instructions and pay attention to the temperature you’ll have good results!

The best kit on the market by a long way for image quality & longevity ! I have been using this kit for as long as Nik & Trick have stocked it – having moved over from other manufacturers they used to stock. If you mix it and store it in 3 x 1 ltr vacuum bottles it will not only do more films than stated on data sheet but also last at least 9 months – I have had longer! no other kit I’ve ever used lasts anything like that. Oh and it is also the best chance you’ll get with expired film.

An excellent choice for your C41 processing needs, easy to use and very dependable giving consistent results every time and if properly stored it’ll last for months. Capable of processing at least 16 rolls of 35mm before the developer needs replacing… if not more!

In my opinion, this is the best C41 kit there is, bar none. Very easy to use, with clear instructions and easy enough for a complete novice to get the best results, 1st time. If the Dev is stored in brown glass bottles with vacu vin stoppers, I’ve had several months of life from it, returning excellent value for money

In short, this kit is amazing. I’ve been home developing for a few years now, using Tetanel kits and Cinestill C41 powder kits.
Little did I realise that there really could be such a huge difference in the quality of processing. The colour and overall sharpness of my negatives has improved drastically by using this Bellini kit, and I couldn’t be happier. I seriously advise everyone to avoid Tetenal and Cinestills offerings and just go for this, you will not be disappointed. I am now on roll 20 and the chems are still going strong.
Will 100% be back for another when I need to refresh my chems!

Love this stuff, so easy to use, thank you for the pointers Nikki! it’s easier than black and white to be honest, just heat and pour for the same time for any type of colour film, no need for massive dev chart, and same number of bottles.
Also, just processed my first 120 slide in this using some pre developer and magic and it has rendered the colours pretty spot on producing slides from Ektachrome E100VS, and it’s a four bath process 🙂 stuff just gets better!
I usually buy the kit with extra developer, if you rinse after developer the bleach and fix will easy last for two bottles of developer (and I am cruel to my chemicals #filmsoup), so the add on developer is well worth it! If you are running a budget (or forgot to order more) you can push more out of the developer by adding 30 seconds instead of the normal 15 when it’s expired (this will make sense when you see the data sheet), but no guarantee.
This is so easy I actually fear developing black and white now!

This kit is amazing!!!! Never developed colour before and really wanted to give it a go as prices for lab development is expensive, hence why I’ve stuck to B&W and home developing as I know where I’m at with that process. This kit, and the instructions provided by the team at Nik & Trick make it as simple as B&W.
So thank you Bellini, and thank you Nik and Trick. Buy this kit, you won’t be disappointed.

…except prices at this lab 😉
(which incidentally uses this same chemistry and has 1000s of happy clients)

This Kit is great! The extra instructions from Nik and Tick were really helpful too!.
Already planning my next dev session
