Ornano Imbibente BCC 97 Non-Ionic Wetting Agent comes here from the Ornano “back catalogue” and it is quite simple the best ever wetting agent that we have ever used!
Normally is this lovely non-ionic wetting agent is formulated for colour films….It is actually also very very suitable for black and white and Vision films too and presents the cleanest negs of all. 😉
Supplied in 100ml bottles originally but it is SO good we had the factory supply us with 250ml too!
This mixes up as 1+99 (5ml per litre) or slightly weaker if preferred
The Ornano brothers first set up shop in the 1920s, photo-chemical prodigies, their company went on for decades with the rights to their products being purchased by Mr Bellini in the 2014..

Yes it’s Richard, and Nik & Trick is my shop but this product is SO good I just had to author a review.
THIS IS THE SINGLE BEST WETTING AGENT WE HAVE EVER USED!!
During lockdown we have been forced to develop a lot of B&W films at home….where there is not custom film drying cabinet like the one in our darkroom so we decided to try this out. Drying films in the show cubicle (not with the shower running obviously) and they have been coming out clean as a whistle.
We have shifted across to the too in the shop darkroom and again, perfectly clean black and whites time after time…made up five litres and re-use it until we get nervous and renew it too early probably!
Nik, who does 90% of the ECN2 Vision film processing, has been using this for those too, it is aimed at colour films primarily. She is reporting the best film results we have ever had in terms of cleanliness of those films, that’s great because they come to us covered in Remjet.
So, we know how good this product truly is in a hard working professional environment….and in the home environment so give it a try, you will not be sorry.

I’ve just started using it on my B&W films. It really is the best wetting agent I’ve tried. My negatives dry without a mark on them; I’ve tried other agents and this is by far the best.

Nikki advised me that this would be the best thing for tidier dried films for me. The water around here is horrendous and nothing else was really working very well and I was pulling what remains of my hair out.
On using this for the first time it was unmistakably something special. No more streaks, no water marks or sedimented droplets just a spotless film that seems also to repel dust.
What a blessing Imbibente is, my C41s are perfect, my b&w are the same now and it seems to last very well though smells a bit eggy after a while!
The only downside here is that I can only give this incredible produce five stars whereas it deserves a few more

Hеllo, just wanted to how much I lovеd this product. Steaking and watermarks have alway been a problem on any film because of my local water conditions.
Tried this on recommendation and all that is now a thing of the past whether on colour, b&w even ECN2. It’s a miracale!

This stuff is absolutely incredible! I’ve only used Kodak’s Photo-Flo but have always had issues with drying film from either stains (from using too much) or water droplets or scratches from using a squeegee. Ho ho ho not any more! Mixed it up as per the data sheet, took the film out of the final wash and that’s it! Perfect negatives, no marks, no water spots no nothing when it’s dried. I cannot recommend this product highly enough
