BelliniFoto Sodium Bromide is a photosensitive salt and is prepared using NaBr. Sodium bromide is employed in the preparation of photographic emulsions to make it sensitive and further in its processing

Along with Silver Chloride, in some combination, are most important components, used when making most photosensitive materials (Film, print papers, most anything light-sensitive enough to be used photographically, processed with chemicals.)

When exposed to a sufficient amount of light, their silver compounds, are developed chemically, to produce a permanent visible image. This is the basis of almost all non-digital photography, done in the last couple hundred years.
