Lucky C400 Colour Negative Film 35mm 36 Exposure ~ Pre-Order NOW!!

Lucky C400 Colour Negative Film is the next generation emulsion from the Chinese factory and we are really chuffed to have been invited to be pretty much one of the first to access this exciting new film.

As yet I don’t have any words from the factory itself, (they’re not always very communicative) and a quick scan around the web brings up the usual, plenty of fluff, presumption and conjecture.

A few decent words but mostly a lot of clickbait, especially when it comes to prices most of which are either guessed, presumed or based on previous China domestic market costs that fail to consider logistics costs and taxations so let us get that out of the way for a starter!

So now, about the film:

Building on the success of C200 which has become a best seller over our counter with people thrilled with results and buying more and more, this 400asa colour print film sits very nicely postioned within the consumer level of the marketplace.

We can presume that this faster fillm will have a slight more grain and a colouration all of it’s own, one that will be good and vibrant, perhaps with a bit of a retro feel to it.  We shall find that out for ourselves won’t we 😀

All in good time, there will also be a 120 format version coming too and that is one that really will compliment analogue photography very nicely thank you and we shall put the case forwards for 127 too!

We shall be making the actual order this coming first week of August 2026 which gives people the opportunity to not just be the first but to assist in containing our “strange times” small business cashflow! 🙂
