Negative Glassine Storage Sleeves for 10×8 Film or Prints

These negative sleeved are made of finely-ground pulp paper which is largely greaseproof, but has a low wet strength. The high level of transparency is achieved by a special mechanical treatment called calendaring. MACO glassine sleeves are made of acid- and lignin-free photo glassine.

Photographic Activity Test – PAT

PAT is a worldwide established standard and is considered as an important seal of approval for the quality of archive materials.

The test evaluates materials for its long term archival quality and their use in photographic enclosures. It involves incubating samples and detectors in a high-temperature (70 °C), high-humidity (86 %) accelerated aging environment. 

ISO 18916:2007 evaluates possible chemical interactions between enclosures with processed silver-gelatin, colour (dye-gelatin), inkjet prints made with dye-based and pigment-based inks, thermal dye diffusion transfer (“dye sub”) prints, digitally printed dye-diffusion-transfer prints, liquid- and dry-toner xerographic prints, liquid-toner electrostatic prints, and diazo images after long-term storage.

These Glassine Negative Sleeves are certified to ISO 18916: 2007 and meet the high requirements of the Photographic Activity Test (PAT).
