24NT Fine Grain High Tonal B&W Film Developer is another that we’ve adopted and far has impressed our test pilots enough that they have nagged us to make more!

Derived from the much loved old Paterson Acutol-S developer 24NT adopts those product’s properties.  A developer that was once immensely popular especially amongst professional photographers.

It’s a sharper D76 like developer if you like.   So a super all rounder with fine to medium grain and tonality that balances and contains both shadow and highlight whilst matching D76 by way the best of mid-range but with increased edge sharpness even with lesser quality lenses.

Most suited to medium speed films 24NT can offer an increase in film speed up to one stop and beyond.

As a product unique to the market it’s offered in limited numbers as it’s difficult to make, using three instread ot the usual two developing agents…if fact, you could probably call it a “luxury” developer!

It’s best qualities are being realised as more people discover it.  So for now this is offered on a basis suited to those who love to try things out.  See sample photos in the gallery…

24NT like other developers mixes one plus one with water to make a stock solution that can be used as is or further diluted to make the a one shot working solution.
