I’ve decided to sell my amazing Kodak Commercial Ektar 8″ (240mm) f6.3 lens.
Love this lens but….have decided it’s needing to do things that it’s meant to do rather than sitting here in it’s box waiting for the right camera to come along.
I’ve used this to great effect as some of you know, it was serviced by a well know ex-factory guy in New York (miffed I can’t remember his name) so it is in perfect working order but does show a small mark on the front element….but so far that’s has shown no effect on photos even with studio lighting.
Comes with an old lens plate 100mm square and the right sized hole cutter, works great with studio lighting like my lovely Bowens Monolites with a clever little cable hack involving a PC HDD power connector!
Don’t let it’s vintage fool you, this is one sharps and contrasty lens, amazing with slide films where it’s coatings make colours beautiful,
At approx 240mm it gives a bit more breathing space than a 300 which I find a lot better to deal with even for portraits.
It’s a bit precious this one…
