Optikoldschool Santacolor 800 35mm 36 Exposure

Optikoldschool Santacolor 800 is a fairly recent offering from our nice new friends of OptikOldschool.

Santa 800 is a high-speed film with great sharpness, vibrant colours but capable of rendering very natural skin tones.

This film is well-suited to photographing moving subjects thus great for Richard’s Rallycross Challenge!  Also for working in lower light conditions while maintaining true colour reproduction.

It’s not respooled movie film nor otherwise manipulated film it is made for use in stills cameras.using the standard C41 process on what one can suspect is the same stocks as offered for Lomo 800 and single use cameras.

That stock many will tell you is the same emulsion as the wonderful kodak Portra 800 but on a more inexpensive base.. Maker’s advice: “Use exposure and processing guidelines for Kodak Portra 800 for best results”  would kinda confirm that! 😀

Based on the above, our sample shots were from the Lomo packaged version….
